Nüsha OCR
Prepare scanned pages for better OCR
Check sharpness, orientation, cropping and page splitting before you start text recognition.
OCR depends on source readability. Preparation cannot recover missing letters, but can reduce problems caused by orientation, borders and page layout.
Updated:
How to use it
- Choose the intended page range and open the preview.
- Rotate, crop margins or split a two-page scan where appropriate.
- Test both a clear and a difficult page and compare the results.
Cropping and splitting
If a book scan contains two pages in one image, consider splitting it. Avoid cropping letters near the binding, page numbers or footnotes. Review the prepared pages before starting processing.
Clarity and script
If a photo has shadows, reflections or motion blur, retake it where possible. Choose the profile matching Latin, Arabic or Ottoman text. Evaluate clear and highly cursive handwriting with separate samples.
Review your results
Sharpening or higher resolution cannot confirm details missing from the original. Mark uncertain readings instead of turning guesses into apparent certainty.
